Welcome to the first of my 2016 Yearbook Challenge. I'm excited to see how everyone interprets this challenge and what style we all use. In the Thread "2016 Yearbook Challenge" there are several templates that you can choose from to complete this challenge, or use whatever other template or style you prefer.  Each month I will add a new template for you to use if you choose.

These are the parameters I'd like to see, but not mandatory:

1. Include a Title of some type on your page.
2. Include pictures that portray last month's memories.
3. Include a little or a lot of journaling that will bring back the memories for years to come.
4. Include the month and year someplace on the page.

In January 2017, you will have an album of your entire year of 2016 that you can print and share as gifts for your family throughout the year, put on an electronic photo frame, put in an album to share with your family and friends, or whatever makes you happy.

There is no time frame to post your page, I want you to make these pages throughout the year thoughtful ones that you want to print and share, so whenever you get January pictures scrapped, post them here and go on to the next month.

In a separate thread there will be a posting bonus that you are free to snag once you have posed your layout in our gallery with a link back to it in this thread.

If you have any questions, please post them here or PM me, whichever works best for you....this is YOUR album so use kits by whatever designer you prefer and make them your own.

Most of all, have fun with this. I can't wait to see how this challenge plays out and to see your albums complete this time next year.

This is the template I have for you this month.

Gloria, I just eyeballed your template as opposed to downloading all the layers. It was wonderful to work with. I did not add a title as it seemed self-explanatory. Hope that works OK, or I will add one if necessary

WOW, you ladies did a wonderful job on your pages!!!

Vicki, I love your sweet photos and your kit...the "January 2016" serves as a title, so all is good, and if you didn't have it, it's your page, so whatever floats your boat, I love the page!

Ayla, I'm sorry you had a broken faucet, but you did a wonderful job capturing the memory, not all of our memories are pleasant....thank you for using my kit...very cool page!

Bernie, what a month, all of those new cars...both my son and daugher work for a Lexus dealership, so it seems someone in the family is always getting a new one....we once all had matching Tundra pickup trucks...too funny...I can't believe you all bought them at the same time without anyone knowing, that is funny. My favorite is the last layout, the summary of the month all captured in one, but the others are necessary to have the whole story....love what you did!

Thank you Gloria, and I have decided that a 3 ring notebook is going to be best for me, the first page being the cover, and the pages will be opposite each other--2+3, 4+5, and 6+7, so the "story" will kind of keep itself in order. Had fun figuring out what to do and use some of your shapes and templates. Thank you so much.

Actually a 3-ring is probably the best for all pages, you can really look at the album better and they lay nice and flat....I might end up with one like that as well, if I can find a 12x12 one.
